SRT® returns to Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in 2013.
Each year in early March, Amelia Island, Florida, becomes a haven for car lovers as the Amelia Island Concour d'Elegance takes over the links at the Golf Club at Amelia Island. The event brings auto enthusiasts from across the world to the historic and secluded barrier island located off the northeast coast of Florida, for a three-day celebration of vehicle design, style, engineering, innovation and history. SRT® made its Amelia Island debut in 2012, and will return for the second time this week.
The 17th Annual Amelia Island Concour d'Elegance is set for March 8–10, and SRT will have a major event presence again this year, with a full vehicle display as well as knowledgeable and friendly product specialists meeting and greeting show attendees.
Similar to the 2012 visit to Amelia Island, SRT will be conducting Ride and Drives, open to the public, Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., on the front driveway of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, near the entrance of the show. Driving routes will see participants traverse the scenic and historic Amelia Island — one of the earliest-settled locales of the New World.
The full lineup of SRT vehicles will be on display on Sunday, March 10, between the 10th and 18th fairways of the Golf Club at Amelia Island. Along with the most current SRT vehicles, Chrysler Group Chairman and CEO Sergio Marchionne's custom-built 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT that will be crossing the block for auction at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach, April 4–6, will grace the display.
Mark Trostle, Head of Design, SRT, will be a contributing judge during the festivities at Amelia Island. Over the years, some of the most knowledgeable and recognizable individuals in the automotive world have served as judges, making it an even greater honor to be selected to sit on the panel.
