SRT® Owner Profile: Tom Ledoux, Pearland, Texas
I've always been a Mopar® fan. I bought my first Mopar, a 1973 Dodge Charger, from my best friend while in college in 1984, when he joined the U.S. Marines. When Dodge came out with the new LX-based Charger in 2006, I started dreaming about getting an SRT®. But, when the new Dodge Challenger was announced in 2008, I knew I would do whatever it took to own a Challenger SRT. In May of 2009, I made that dream become a reality. I originally planned on keeping my Challenger SRT all-stock, but after I found the Space City LX Modern Mopar club in Houston, Texas, I immediately started personalizing my Challenger SRT into what it is today. Without the online communities that have built up around the LX and SRT brands, I never would have been named one of the Mopar Top Eliminator winners in 2012, and would never have had my Challenger SRT in the Mopar booth at SEMA last year. Owning my SRT has been a dream come true.

I purchased the car in May, 2009. I purposely waited until the '09 model year because I wanted the six-speed manual transmission. So when I finally was able to go and buy the car, the dealer only had two SRTs. Both were fully-loaded with every option and both were Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, but only one was a six-speed manual, and I have been driving it ever since.
Favorite Stretch of Road I-10 between Houston and Los Angeles. I drive my Challenger SRT to the annual Spring Festival of LXs in Irvine, California, each year. I get to see some amazing parts of this beautiful country while driving in my Challenger SRT.
Farthest Traveled to Meet a Fellow Car Enthusiast 1,550 miles from my house to Irvine, California, for the Spring Festival of LXs. Meeting these Mopar enthusiasts from all over the world is an experience that has changed me and my life.
Racing or Cruising I have run my Challenger SRT down the drag strip a few times at the Lone Star Mopar Fest, an annual event that Space City LX holds each year. I am also an organizer of the autocross section of this event, as my way of giving back to the Mopar community. Our motto is "Where Appearance and Performance Converge."
Clubs Space City LX is a big part of my life, and my Challenger SRT's mods. I found this Modern Mopar club shortly after buying my SRT and this club has been a big influence on me. I have so many good friends that I would not have had if it weren't for Space City LX and my SRT.
Badge of loyalty While in Los Angeles for Spring Fest, I bought two new pairs of sneakers, one pair black and blue to match my Challenger SRT, and one to match my yellow and black '73 Plymouth 'Cuda.
