SRT® Owner Profile: Dayton Erickson, San Luis Obispo, California
My dad was always into cars and that passion naturally rubbed off on me. His first SRT® was the Charger that I'm currently driving. I always thought it was the coolest car ever, so you can imagine my excitement when he told me I could someday possibly own it, contingent on good grades and good behavior, of course. Once the Charger was mine, I instantly got into modifying it and truly making it my own. Participating in car shows is one of my favorite things to do since I get to see so many automotive enthusiasts and all the cool stuff they do to their vehicles.
First Mopar® 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8
SRT® Garage My first and current car is the '06 Charger. It was originally my father's, but I was determined to make it my own. I knew he wouldn't just hand it over to me, so I worked my butt off in high school. In return for my hard work, I earned admission to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and my Charger.
Favorite Stretch of Road My favorite stretch of road is Highway 4 right before Copperopolis, California. The road is quite hilly and is very fun to cruise on.
Farthest Traveled to Meet a Fellow Car Enthusiast I've driven to Las Vegas from the Bay Area for the annual SEMA show. That was the best road trip ever.
Racing or Cruising I'm eager to take my car to the track for the first time. My dad always has a ton of fun when he takes his Challenger to the Wednesday night drags at the track, so it would be a great father/daughter bonding activity.
Clubs I am a member of the Cal Poly Motor Car Association on the campus of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. We meet every Monday for dinner and discuss all things car-related.
Badge of loyalty Whenever I'm asked what my dream car is, I always say, "Anything Mopar." My dream is to someday work for SRT and inspire consumers to become dedicated super fans like myself.
