SRT® Owner Profile: Steve Crisalli, White Plains, New York

The first time the SRT brand really caught my interest was when I saw my first SRT-10 Ram in person because there was something unusually cool about a pickup with a Viper engine. Once the LX SRT lineup came out, I was drawn instantly to the Charger.

The first time the SRT® brand really caught my interest was when I saw my first SRT-10 Ram in person because there was something unusually cool about a pickup with a Viper engine. Once the LX SRT lineup came out, I was drawn instantly to the Charger. What really solidified my obsession was joining the forums and going out to Springfest where I would end up meeting all the great people that I now know. The bottom line is the Mopar® family is just that, a family. I always encourage everyone I meet to join in the discussion of the forums or just be active.

First Mopar® 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4

SRT® Garage I currently have a 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8. I ended up bringing my old truck into the dealer for an oil change when, just for kicks, I had them run the numbers for me on the Charger.

Favorite Stretch of Road My personal favorite is Bear Mountain Bridge Road. It is a stretch of road that leads you from the city of Peekskill, New York, up to the Bear Mountain Bridge across the Hudson River. The road is cut out of the side of a mountain and overlooks the Hudson Valley and is all curves with an overlook area at its most scenic point. You can look up and down the Hudson River past West Point or down towards New York City.

Farthest Traveled to Meet a Fellow Car Enthusiast So far, the farthest I have driven is to Nashville, Tennessee. It was not for a meet or anything specific, I just had some friends down there from various car clubs that I wanted to meet up with and hang out in person. I flew to Florida to meet Lisa, who is my go-to vendor, for all my various goodies. The farthest I have gone for a meet is Springfest in Irvine, California. I have always been tempted to drive out to California for Springfest. Maybe one day.

Racing or Cruising I do both. When my schedule allows me, I hit the track at Englishtown and Atco Raceways in New Jersey. I started out in the low 13s when the car was bone stock, and have gotten it down to 11.6. I continue to work out the kinks with some of the smartest Mopar people on the planet and hope to get back soon to lower that number some more. I cruise wherever I can find one. I have been to meets in New York City a number of times, local meets in the Hudson Valley and out to Connecticut and New Jersey.

Online Forums Many, many of them, but my primary forums are LXForums.com and SRTConnection.com.

Offline Clubs I recently joined up with the guys from "BroPar." This is a very new club that a couple of guys have formed in the Hudson Valley for Mopar enthusiasts regardless of year/make/model. Personally my big events of the year are Springfest in California and the Peekskill Road Knights show. I have attended over the years a number of Make-a-Wish shows and a show at Orange County Choppers where my car made it on the television show.

Badge of Loyalty I was set from birth to be a "Mopar guy." As the story goes, as I was being born, literally the very first words I heard out of the womb were "Jeep Grand Cherokee." It must have had an impact because I am the only member of my family with an obsession for cars.
