SRT® Owner Profile: Scott Swenka, Surprise, Arizona
I was at my preferred Dodge dealer (Avondale Dodge) getting my 2007 Ram 3500 serviced, and it was going to take about three/four hours, so I decided to hang out and check out the new models, and maybe go for some test drives to pass the time away.
To make a long story short, the first car that caught my eye was a 2011 Charger SRT® that was in the showroom, but as I ventured outside sitting on the patio of the dealer was this gorgeous Toxic Orange Challenger 392. I knew by the color it was limited, as I had not seen one like it, and for that matter, I had not seen a 392 Challenger anywhere. I took it for a test drive and that was the end of the story. I decided to buy it on the spot.
I had also been in the market to honor my father's 1970 Hunter Green Plymouth HEMI® 'Cuda which he also bought brand new. I kept the car a secret from him until he came to visit in November of 2011, when I picked him up from the airport in it.

Farthest Traveled to Meet a Fellow Car Enthusiast- The farthest I have driven is about 300 miles to Las Vegas, but due to work and my schedule while there, we were unable to sync-up. So officially, I would say I stay mostly in town and meet with the local ChallengerTalk.com Forum members at Tempe Marketplace. We then drive as a group up to the Scottsdale Pavilion weekly car show. We try to do this on a weekly basis and it's about a 45-mile drive for me.
Racing or Cruising I have not yet taken my Challenger to the track for anything other than a car show. However, my previous SRT was a 2006 Ram SRT-10 Extended Cab, which was a regular visitor at the local tracks. For the most part I spend time at Speedworld Dragstrip, which is about seven miles from where I live, though on occasion I do visit Firebird International Raceway. Because it's such a long drive I tend to go to Speedworld instead.
Offline Clubs I am the Chairman of the American Desert Foundation, which is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to promoting events that demonstrate responsible land stewardship, public safety and provide educational opportunities on American Desert lands. I also used to be a board member of the American Sand Association for four years.
Badge of loyalty Well, my first kitty, who was part of my life for 13 years, was named "Timer" after the timing systems at the racetrack. My current four-legged friends are two black cats one is named "Piston" and the other "Nitro."
I have owned several Dodge/Chrysler Products: 1995 Dodge Stealth R/T, 1996 Chrysler LHS, 2004 Dodge Durango, 2006 Ram SRT-10, 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins 6.7L and 2011 Dodge Challenger 392.
