The Autoweek America Adventure Presented by SRT® is not for the faint of heart. Coincidentally, neither is the 470 horsepower 2012 300 SRT. The pair will be joined soon, as the winning team in the unique road rally competition/challenge will drive home from Las Vegas in a 300 SRT when the Adventure ends on Tuesday, October 30.

Teams will compete for points each day of the Autoweek America Adventure Presented by SRT by solving clues, completing challenges/missions and correctly negotiating the route within speed and time restraints. A key will be given daily to the best performing team with a total of seven keys up for grabs. In the end, just one will start the 2012 300 SRT waiting for them in Las Vegas.

For an insider’s perspective during the event, follow the action on our driveSRT.com microblog page where Beth Paretta, Director of Marketing and Operations, SRT Brand and Motorsports, will post daily as she travels the route. Paretta is expected to be joined by other bloggers throughout the weeklong battle.

The brand-new 2012 300 SRT that awaits the winning team is valued at more than $55,000. The luxurious performance sedan features a world-class Harman Kardon® audio package along with a dual-pane sunroof and the Safety Tec™ package. Brembo® brakes, adaptive damping suspension and SRT Performance Pages are standard equipment.

A 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 engine powers the 2012 300 SRT which sprints from 0-60 in under five seconds. The 300 SRT blasts through the quarter-mile in the high 12-second bracket. All that power is put to the ground by a five-speed automatic transmission.

The 2012 Autoweek America Adventure kicks-off in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Wednesday, October 24, and will conclude in Las Vegas on Tuesday, October 30. In between, competitors will traverse an array of highways and byways while taking part in various competitions and challenges. Points will also be earned by participants for their proficiency in social media, as they capture and post videos and photos, along with posting messages and interacting with fans on a variety of social channels.
