The 2013 SRT<sup>®</sup> Viper joins a prestigious list of performance cars nominated for the 2013 World Car Award - World Performance Car. It is the first nomination for Viper for the award that began in 2005.

The 2013 SRT® Viper joins a prestigious list of performance cars nominated for the 2013 World Car Award - World Performance Car. It is the first nomination for Viper for the award that began in 2005.

"We are honored to be considered for the World Performance Car with the new 2013 SRT Viper. This car is the result of the hard work of our team and is an example of where the Chrysler group is headed," noted Beth Paretta, director of operations - SRT brand and SRT Motorsports.

The World Car Awards are organized annually by and conducted by top automotive journalists from all over the world. The independent organization is not affiliated with any publication, car show or commercial enterprise. Previous World Performance Car winners include Porsche, Audi and Ferrari.

The World Car Awards were developed to complement existing automotive awards that may be regional or national in scope. Top 10 finalists will be announced in January, 2013. On March 5, 2013, the top three finalists will be announced at the Geneva International Motor Show. Winners will be announced at the New York International Auto Show March 28, 2013.
