The Autoweek America Adventure Presented by SRT puts drivers to the ultimate test.
It's an adventure and road rally like no other. The Autoweek America Adventure Presented by SRT returns for the second year, with teams traveling some of the most diverse terrains in the country, not knowing where the road will take them that day. Teams are challenged by clues, puzzles and driving tests on race tracks along the route, hoping to be first to the finish line each day. For one solid week.
Best put, the Autoweek America Adventure Presented by SRT is a mix of track racing, scavenger hunt-type game playing and rally driving. The entire challenge spans the highways and byways of America between Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Las Vegas, Nevada. And perhaps best of all, it benefits the Graham Rahal Foundation.
Each day, points will be earned by solving clues, completing challenges/missions, and correctly negotiating the route on time and at speed limits. Arrive too early or too late, and points will be deducted. Speeding will cost an entrant points as well.
At the end of each day during the Adventure, the team finishing first within the rules will earn a key, one of seven keys total. At the finish in Las Vegas, one key will start a brand-new 2012 300 SRT and the team with the right key drives home in style in the new 300 SRT.
If you wish to follow along, teams will show their social media prowess, capturing and posting videos and photos, along with posting messages and interacting with fans on a variety of social channels. Of course, we will follow the Adventure here on driveSRT.com and on our Facebook page.
The 2012 Autoweek America Adventure Presented by SRT kicks off on Wednesday, October 24, in the scenic mountain vista of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event will wrap up on Tuesday, October 30, in Las Vegas. On the final day, participants will take to the track at Las Motor Speedway to test their skills behind the wheel at the SRT Track Experience.
Following this action-packed challenge, competitors will pay a visit to the SEMA show where they will take center stage and try their keys in the ignition of the brand-new 2012 300 SRT. The team with the key that starts the 300 SRT will be the grand-prize winner with bragging rights until next year.
