Some of the greatest automobiles and sports cars in the world took center stage at "The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering," held on Friday, August 17, on the Monterey Peninsula at the beautiful Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club in Carmel, California. Taking its rightful place in the spotlight among this stunning clique of automotive elites was a very special guest, courtesy of the SRT brand: the limited-edition 2013 SRT Viper Launch Edition.

In its official unveiling, the SRT Viper Launch Edition, with its distinctive GTS Blue body highlighted by a pair of Bright White body-length stripes, meshed perfectly with the bright blue skies specked with white clouds that provided a canopy over "The Quail." Amid an upscale ambiance, attendees strolled the lush golf course, taking the opportunity to sit in the driver seat of the unlocked, extremely limited-issue SRT Viper during its unveiling. Appropriately enough considering the collection of historic vehicles at the event, the Launch Edition also gives a nod to Viper's storied past, as the body color and stripes are reminiscent of the last pair of Viper coupes unveiled in 1996 and 2006, respectively.

In addition to the SRT Viper Launch Edition, the 2012 300 SRT and 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT turned heads in the SRT display. The SRT machines sat adjacent to an impressive collection of its extended FIAT family members — a display of priceless and unique Great Ferraris, along with Lancia and Maserati vehicles. Cars at "The Quail" ran the gamut, from a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Iso Automobili to a display of Pre-War Alfa Romeos.

Billed as an unequalled lifestyle experience, "The Quail" celebrates global cultures manifested not just through automobiles, but also food and art. Automobile connoisseurs enjoyed a lavish feast that encompassed Cuban cuisine, Asian eats, specialty gelatos, authentic Italian food and Mexican-themed cuisine spiced up by the performance of a mariachi band — who couldn't resist the chance for a quick snapshot next to the blue-and-white SRT Viper.
