For the first time, SRT will feature a display on the show field during the world-famous Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance on March 9-12, 2012. The 2012 SRT lineup will be at home alongside other sophisticated vehicles parked on the lavish grounds of the Golf Club of Amelia Island.

SRT will host a ride and drive event on Friday and Saturday of the show weekend, giving show attendees an opportunity to experience the refined packaging found within the lineup. The 470-horsepower 300 SRT8 and Grand Cherokee SRT8 will available for drives at the Ritz-Carlton hotel near the entrance to the show. Driving routes will take drivers through the beautiful and historic Amelia Island - one of the earliest-settled places of the New World.

Also on display will be the 1955 Chrysler C-300 - America’s first muscle car. A classic 1941 Chrysler Newport Dual Cowl Phaeton will also be in the display. Just five were made, and one paced the Indy 500 the year of its construction. The 2000 Daytona 24-hour race-winning Dodge Viper GTS-R will be seen separately in a concours class featuring cars that ran in the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring endurance races.

The Amelia Island Concours is one of three premier classic car shows in America. The others are the Pebble Beach Coucours and the Concours of America at St. John’s. In addition to Daytona and Sebring endurance racers, this year’s display features the Ferrari GTO and the Shelby Cobra, two cars that fought it out for the FIA world manufacturer championship on the road courses of Europe and America half a century ago. The Viper joins the prestigious ranks with several FIA championships a little more than a decade ago.

Our space is conveniently located between the 10th and 18th fairways on the Golf Club of Amelia Island - right in the middle of all the action. We look forward to our first trip to Amelia Island, will you be there to help celebrate?
