A win and a place for Sascha Bert in the Touring Car Championship powered by DMV UHSport

(Translated from German) - Mayen / Wassenach. At the fourth race weekend in Oschersleben, the Mintgen Motorsport Dodge Viper GT3 Coupe was again the car that all others were measured against. Sascha Bert (Ober-Ramstadt) twice posted the fastest time in practice and also achieved the fastest laps in both races. No wonder that Sascha Bert was excited with the way that his Viper was performing.

The first race last Saturday was a thriller. From the start, Sascha Bert was right behind Jürg Aeberhard and continued to put pressure on the Turbo Porsche throughout the entire race. And while young Swiss was able to defend against the Viper's attacks, the race came down to the last corner before the checkered flag, where Jürg Aeberhard poured on the power to finish his Porsche Turbo only 0.088 seconds ahead of Bert, claiming the victory. Despite the loss, team boss Michael Mintgen was still very enthusiastic: "This was racing at the highest level. Neither the Viper nor the Porsche threw in the towel. Sasha is really first class and the fairness between the riders in this hot duel is truely worth noting."

Sascha Bert then struck on Sunday, delivering an error-free, start to finish victory and returning to ADAC GT Masters level. Both Sascha Bert and Heiko Hammel, who alternated driving duties in the race, are now DMV TCC half-time champions.

Halfway through the season, the Mintgen Motorsport Dodge Viper Competition Coupe GT3 is as competitive as ever, with Michael Mintgen considering offering a second Viper Coupe to race in the ADAC GT Masters.
