Jason Daskalos Finishes Fourth At Mosport
BOWMANVILLE, Canada (May 22, 2011) - Jason Daskalos scored his fourth-consecutive top-four finish in the Pirelli World Challenge when he took fourth place on Sunday at the Pirelli Grand Prix of Mosport Victoria Day Speedfest Presented by Optima Batteries. He started ninth in the No. 7 Dalsin Developments Dodge Viper. In the midst of the climb through the field, Daskalos earned the Invisible Glass Clean Pass of the Race when he moved past Andy Pilgrim's No. 8 Cadillac Racing Cadillac CTS-V Coupe on lap 11 for fifth position.
Daskalos might have placed higher but for a full-course caution on Lap 23 of the 29-lap race to clean up an oil slick on turn five. The mess couldn't be cleared before the race's 50-minute time limit expired.
Fred Roberts finished tenth in the race in his Dodge Viper. He finished eleventh in yesterday's race. The 29-lap, 71.311-mile race was slowed to an average of 83.129 mph after running the final seven laps under caution.
