Gifted ears tuned precision-crafted hardware to develop an audio system as precise and powerful as SRT vehicles themselves. Learn how the technology works.
SRT powertrains generate their own beautiful soundtracks, but there are moments when only the right music will set the mood. Audiophiles will profess that tonal accuracy — not wattage — is what makes an audio system truly exceptional. For this reason, SRT teamed up with Harman/Kardonto develop a peerless stereo system now available throughout the current lineup.
As the auto industry evolves to become more efficient, Harman/Kardon also remains at the forefront of ecological advancements. Thanks to new GreenEdge technology, SRT owners can enjoy audio reproduction as precise as the cars they drive, without increased fuel consumption.
GreenEdge employs efficient speaker and amplifier engineering to improve sound quality while significantly diminishing energy consumption. GreenEdge amplifiers are now more than 90-percent efficient — double that of their predecessors. New amplifiers paired with new, efficient speakers allow the system to drastically reduce energy consumption, resulting in improved overall vehicle efficiency.
The GreenEdge stereo system offered in the 2012 SRT lineup is meticulously tuned to suit the acoustics of each individual vehicle, ensuring the best possible sound quality. To achieve these levels of excellence, golden-eared Harman engineers were trained to subjectively evaluate the sound system’s fidelity during the development process. Once the perfect component positions were identified, it was up to SRT to engineer a precisely crafted interior to serve as the base from which an ultra-low total harmonic distortion system could be realized. This mutual interdependence culminated into a collaborative relationship that ultimately delights even the most demanding audiophiles beyond their expectations.
