Dodge returns to join forces with Hart & Huntington Racing for the 2012 AMA Supercross season.
SRT Motorsports is entering its second season with the Hart & Huntington Kawasaki team. Dodge Motorsports riders earned one top-five and eight top-10 finishes in 2011. Ivan Tedesco led the Dodge Motorsports/H&H team with seven top-10 finishes in 15 AMA starts in 2011.
SRT Motorsport and Hart & Huntington will field four Dodge/Sycaun Casino/Hart & Huntington/Bell-Ray Racing Kawasaki 450s in Saturday night’s season opener at Anaheim. The riders are Ivan Tedesco, Josh Hansen, Kyle Partridge and Josh Hill.
FAST FACTS: ANAHEIM NO. 1
Ivan Tedesco has a career-best finish of fifth (2008) at Anaheim. He was the highest finishing Dodge/H&H rider in last year’s season opener at Anaheim. He started seventh and finished seventh. Saturday night’s event launches the 38th season of the Monster Energy Supercross Series (1974-2012).
The first Supercross race at Anaheim was held on December 4, 1976. Saturday night’s race will mark the 56th time the gate has dropped for a Supercross race at Anaheim. There have been 538 races since 1974 and 54 different main-event winners. Since 1974, the winner of the season opener has gone on to win the Supercross championship 18 times.
